    God’s heart is for the broken, wounded, and forgotten. So what does that mean for how we care for the vulnerable children in our midst? One way is by opening your home to care for a child for a season.
    The team discusses why empowering our kids is a crucial part of their healing process and can move them from fear-based responses to trust-based responses. A key component is creating an environment of felt safety in our homes. They offer practical examples you can use at bed time and explain why it's important that we learn to speak our kids language.

    Travis and Jenny share their adoption story about traveling to The DRC to adopt baby Bailey. They were matched with her at two weeks but had to wait for 11 months to finally meet her. The two talk about the moment they first saw her and open up about the journey to adopt baby #2. It has not been easy but they are not giving up on their dream to expand their family.
    Lisa and I chat about her newest book, The Sacrament of Happy, and the misconceptions surrounding happiness for Christians. We talk all about her adoption of her sweet little Missy from Haiti.
